These Release Notes provide information about changes and known issues for each release of AppDynamics Lite. You may also be interested in the Supported Applications and Frameworks.

Version 1.0.1

This section lists changes including fixes and known issues in AppDynamics Lite version 1.0.1.
Changes

The following changes are in this release:

  • Added support for HTTP backend resolution.
  • Added support for transaction splitting based on source (User Principal).
  • Added support to create custom match Servlet rule and add splitting to name transaction based on POJO trigger. You can now get full SLA monitoring at outer system boundaries with fine-grained business transaction naming.
  • Added support for identifying JMS external call for the receivers in IBM MQ native calls.
  • Added support for JRUBY.
  • Added support to configure maximum number of backends to be discovered.
  • Improved permission checks for Application Server Agent's log files. The agent will not start up if it does not have appropriate permissions for the log files.
  • Fixed snapshot time capture issue for the most expensive call. Fixed response time metrics for the HTTP method (triggered by a SOAP call on a Weblogic JVM).
  • Fixed the reporting on "most expensive methods" in Request Snapshot Data.
  • Improved maintenance for Bytecode Transformer(BCT) log.
  • Fixed user interface options for a tier that resolves to external web services. The UI now ensures that the user must specify nodes before resolving a tier to external web service.
  • Fixes for Machine Agent. The machine agent now captures disk statistics for all disks.
  • Fixes for Application Server Agent's reset feature.
  • Fixes for Request Outlier threshold.
  • Improved visibility for Webservice calls with webmethods client jar. It will now show full service URL in exit calls.
  • Fixed reallocation of machine IP. This issue affected the transaction flow map. The transaction tree view now displays the flow map correctly.
  • Fixed callgraph export issue for Weblogic.
  • Fixed logging issue for Microsoft SQL Calls triggered from Weblogic v.10.3.
  • Added support for Sybase.
  • Added support for JSQLConnect-1.0.
  • Improved status reporting for in-process stalled requests. These stalled requests will now have a status indicator to alert the user for any requests that are experiencing a stall.
  • Improved visibility for EJB based transactions.
  • Improved visibility for applications implementing Ruby on Rails. The call graph now also identifies individual JRuby scripts.
  • Improved visibility for EJB based transactions.
  • Improved monitoring for IBM DB2.

Known issues

  • None.

Version 0.91

 
This section lists changes including fixes and known issues in AppDynamics Lite version 0.91.

Changes

The following issues have been resolved in this release:

  • Enhanced the automatic version checking and updating for the Viewer and agent.
  • Fixed rename persistence issue (cited in this forum post) by removing the rename feature.
  • Fixed issue where incorrect number of snapshots are collected during a diagnostic session if you set the number to collect to <1 or >10. The UI now warns and blocks you from exceeding the thresholds.
